Lunch at Anjuna Monday 29th April

As in previous years their will be a “recovery” lunch at Anjuna on the Monday following the ride.

This will take the same format as previous years as in fixed menu at € 60 to be paid for in advance and all drinks to be paid for separately on the day.

Can anyone interested in the lunch please confirm ASAP in order that we can organise tables and advise Anjuna of numbers.

Please send an email to confirm.

Thanks

Damian

Missing Medical Forms

Anyone who has not yet had their forms signed by their doctor needs to do so before they collect their kit; otherwise they will not be covered by the Monaco Cycle Club insurance and will be responsible for all risks and injury to themselves and any third parties.

This insurance is covered in your € 1,000 minimum commitment but is only valid if the forms are correctly completed.

If in doubt please give me a call or email me next week.

Bacchus on Bikes

Bacchus on Bikes - Catalonia

We have been introduced to Bacchus on bikes by Simon Gook and attach below some more details for anyone who may be interested in a ride in Catalonia either this year or in 2019

Hello Terry and Damian – as Simon said, we had a catchup yesterday in London and after hearing from about the COCC and looking at the website, I'd love to have a go myself! It looks great fun and an amazing charity fundraiser for a very worthy cause.

To tell you a little about Bacchus on Bikes – as you can probably guess from the name, our cycle tours include a variety of Bacchanalian tendencies. After Tony and our Catalan director, Josep Maria, toured almost every vineyard in the Empordà (bordering Girona) four years ago, it seemed more than logical to combine our favourite cellars and other epicurean pitstops on some of the most outstanding cycling (both road and mountain biking) routes in the region. Now we lead fixed date and bespoke private tours for groups that range from touring cyclists that prefer gentle morning rides and long lunches to guys that really want to hit it hard for 160km+ per day. We think a combination of the two usually works pretty well.

I've attached a brochure to give you an overview of what we do and if you think a group of COCCs would be keen to explore and ride Catalonia later this year or in 2019, please don't hesitate to call. I'll be releasing our fixed date departures for 2019 in a week or so.

Very much look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet you soon.

Best,

Gareth
